How does the process work?

1. Place your order
   After you place your order, you’ll receive a welcome email with instructions to create a WhatsApp group with yourself and your birth partner and/or doula. This helps us all stay connected and makes communication easy around the time of birth.
2. We send your cooler box
   Your cooler box will be shipped to your home address when you’re around 36–38 weeks gestation.
3. Prepare your ice packs
   When your cooler box arrives, simply place the ice packs in your freezer so they’re ready to go.
4. Take the cooler box to your birth
   Once you’re in labour, take the cooler box with the frozen ice packs to the hospital or birth centre, and let your midwife know you’d like to keep your placenta.
5. After birth
   After your baby is born and your placenta has been delivered, your midwife will carry out their routine checks and then place your placenta into our cooler box.
6. Arrange collection or drop-off
   You or your birth partner can message in the WhatsApp group once your baby is born to confirm the best day for home collection or drop-off.
7. Delivery to our facility
   Our specialist couriers aim to deliver your placenta to our facility the next working day. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way – from collection through to preparation and shipping of your products.

What’s included in the price?

• A placenta cooler box shipped to your home address to help store and return your placenta safely and appropriately, designed to maintain the recommended chilled temperature during transit (with frozen packs added), for up to 120 hours (5 days).
• 24/7 support from booking and beyond – we’re with you every step of the way to answer questions and offer guidance.
• Your chosen product(s) prepared and shipped back to you within 48–72 hours of arrival at our facility.
• A dedicated WhatsApp group so you can ask any questions or share any concerns at any point in the process.

How long does it take to collect the placenta?

As soon as your placenta is boxed up and ready for collection, we can arrange a same-day collection from any home address Monday – Friday between 10am–6pm, or you can choose our drop-off service before 4:30pm or 10.30am Saturday.

We always aim to use the quickest shipping option available so you receive your remedies as soon as possible, but we’re happy to work around whatever feels easiest for you after the birth of your baby.

Your placenta cooler pack is designed to maintain the correct temperature for up to 120 hours once the frozen packs are added. This is usually plenty of time for labour and for the cooler box to be shipped back to our facility.

If labour is prolonged, we’ve included clear guidance in the “What to do” section of your information guide so you’ll know exactly what steps to take.

What happens if I have to be induced?

Labour can be very unpredictable and anything can occur throughout any stage of labour prolonging the freshness of the gel ice packs. Here are some helpful tips that we suggest to clients.

Ask your midwife if they could store your ice packs in their freezer, most midwives are happy to support a mother’s wishes and will do so if they have a freezer on the delivery department.

Birth Partners are often told to go home to get some rest if their partner are not in established labour, if this is the case ask your birth partner to take the cooler pack home with them and to refreeze the ice packs ready for the next morning.

What is the placenta chiller pack?

Your placenta cooler pack is designed to help keep your placenta cool and protected during storage and transit. It includes everything you need to maintain the recommended chilled temperature for the appropriate amount of time while it’s on its way back to our facility.

Can I still use your services if I smoked during this pregnancy?

Sadly not. Maternal smoking impairs human placental development by changing the balance between cytotrophoblast (CTB) proliferation and differentiation.

Where do you produce the product?

We have designed and built a custom, medical grade, clinical processing facility; using the latest technology we ensure hygiene and cleanliness exceeds both ISO 22000 standards and UK FSA key regulations.

We cover the whole of the UK, offering our 5-star service nationwide. We regularly collect from Southampton, Brighton, London, Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, St Albans, the West Midlands, Kent, West Sussex, Surrey, Cornwall, Devon and as far as Scotland.

We provide a pharmaceutical-grade cooler box, built to high technical specifications to help keep your placenta cool and protected during transit, for up to 120 hours (with frozen packs added).

With up to 5 days of cooling support, the cooler box helps take the worry out of storage and transport, so you can focus on your birthing journey with extra peace of mind.
